hi, so this is my first journal post, hopefully i’ll be able to keep this up somewhat consistently….
anyways, i’ve been playing around with my electron model samples a lot,
i’ve been working getting it to make really fun + nasty horrific sounds for the next
grav3s project. there’s this thing u can do where you can make a sample repeat forever,
and then you can change the length of the sample so it glitches out and gets all choppy
and stuttery and stuff, and then you can like automate other parameters and things
start getting really crazy!!! I want to hook it up to the KAOSS pad and see now much
worse things can get (in a good way!!).
anyways, i’m about to leave school for winter break, honestly not looking forward
to going back to long island, working at a gas station, being surrounded by the hyper-consumer
suburban hell. the eroded streets, the thin blue line stickers, the boring anti-human infrastructure.
i hate the almost non-existent public transportation, the nearest bus stop to me
sits across a four lane road which more than one car dealer has been run down on. my
neighborhood crawls with off-duty cops, and fucking gross wealthy conservatives, and i
sit in my stupid [insert evil gas company here]-embroidered shirt, filling up their gas
tanks. so yeah, not looking forward to it, but i'll at least get to watch jersey shore
on my phone.
